A MESSAGE TO ALL WORCESTERSHIRE MASONIC GOLFERS

If you are a member of a Lodge in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Worcestershire, you are entitled to join the WORCESTERSHIRE MASONIC GOLFING SOCIETY.

The Worcestershire Masonic Golfing Society (WMGS) held its formation meeting on 22nd November 1962 to promote the following aims:

(a) To promote the competitive spirit of golf amongst the Masons of Worcestershire Lodges.

(b) To hold annual competitions for the Fellows and Weatheroak Bowls

(c) To enter into competitions with other Masonic Provinces

(d) To raise funds for Masonic charities

The Society is now in its 58th year of competition and has developed a very appealing and enjoyable experience for the golfing Brethren in Worcestershire to participate in.  The Annual Provincial golf day involves competition for the prestigious Fellows and Weatheroak Bowls together with the Veterans Trophies and is followed by the AGM.

The Fellows Bowl, is an INDIVIDUAL competition, whilst the Weatheroak Bowl, is a PAIRS competition.  Your PAIR must be from the same Worcestershire Lodge (any Order) and all are Stableford competitions, full handicap (max 28).  The Veterans Trophy is for all competitors over the age of 70 yrs on the day. The Price Taylor Bowl is a 9 hole competition for over 80 yrs.

To compliment the Annual Event, there are annual matches against all our surrounding provinces of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire

The 58th Annual Event is being held at Kings Norton Golf Club on Tuesday 13th July 2021.

If you would wish to enjoy friendly competitive golf with golfers of like minds at some of the finest courses in the Midlands, then contact the Secretary today for an application form or visit  www.wmgs.fmweb.org.uk.

The life subscription to the Society is only £20 and includes your WMGS tie.
