Bro Martin now over 70km into his challenge
Bro Martin Carver has been working exceptionally hard and is now over 70km of his challenge. To date Martin's exploits have raised £1,870 for the NHS and £750 for the Lodge Festival Account, so he is looking to break the £2,000 and £1,000 barriers in the near future.
On Thursday the 21st of May, Martin our Masonic Super Hero was interviewed on BBC Hereford & Worcester by Tammy Gooding in preparation of his run through the streets of Worcester dressed as the 'man of steel' Superman!
Martin started his Worcester run at the Worcester Royal Hospital where he was met by Vicky Morris the Senior Nursing Officer and our Provincial Grand Master R.WBro Robert. C. Vaughan.
“I am immensely proud of Martin for his splendid efforts and it was a great pleasure to welcome him to Worcester today. He will continue to run until the end of May and I urge everyone in the province to support him in his fantastic challenge for the 2022 Festival”.
- R. W Bro. Robert C. Vaughan
Martin completed his run today at the Masonic Centre at Rainbow Hill where he was greeted by White Ensign Lodge WM, Ian Fothergill.

Throughout his runs round the county , Martin has been applauded by members of the public whilst running dressed in Super Hero’s Costumes supported by his sons Jordan and Nathan. His other son Jamie, is a serving member of 1 Parachute Regiment, Martin’s former Regiment. During the lockdown he continues voluntarily running a series of online training sessions for senior citizens and those who suffer from cancer, strokes, and other debilitating illnesses and also keeps in touch with them during his regular walks and runs around Redditch
