2017 has certainly been a remarkable and memorable year and freemasonry everywhere can reflect on a very successful celebration of our Tercentenary.
MFest 300 at Weston Park and the various other events in Worcestershire could not have happened without an enormous amount of hard work and commitment by many of our members and their families. They can be very proud of such successful outcomes.
Your very generous support for the Triple Century Fund has meant that several hundred small local charities and good causes have received support to the tune of some £100,000. The impact across Worcestershire has been obvious and very much appreciated.
Those of us who were fortunate enough to be present at the 2017 finale at the Royal Albert Hall were provided with a rare treat – all of us can now experience this wonderful event on line at RAH300.org.
The year ahead is going to be another busy and interesting one. We have a new Lodge to consecrate at Kings Heath in February and no fewer than three lodge centenaries to celebrate later in the year.
We shall also see the official launch of the “Members Pathway – a guide to help lodges attract, introduce and retain members”, something that each of us has a responsibility to understand and support.
As we enter the second year of our 2022 Festival Appeal, our main charitable aim must be to give this our fullest possible support. The beneficiaries of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (and this could be you and me in the future) deserve our very best efforts. Patrick Firminger and his committee continue to work tirelessly to achieve our target. Please encourage your Lodge to make 2018 a year of enjoyable fund raising events.
Stephenie and I wish all our members and their families a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
