Stephen Wyer was born in Wiltshire but raised in Kidderminster where he attended the local King Charles 1st Grammar School. Having passed the Oxford entrance exam he studied law at St John's College and has worked as a Solicitor for 30 years , first in the City of London then locally specialising in Corporate and Commercial law.
He was Initiated into his old school lodge Old Carolian 7599 by his late father in 1988 who also installed him as 40th Master in 1997, appointed Prov G Steward in 1998, Provincial JGW in 2002, PAGReg in 2009, PSGD in 2013 (having been appointed APGM in 2012) and PGSwdB in 2018 (having been appointed DPGM in 2017).
He is a PZ in the Royal Arch, having the rank of PPGSN, spent 6 very happy years as Provincial Prior in the Knights Templar and is a member and past master (or its equivalent) in 18 Masonic units.
In his spare time he loves walking, reading, trivia quizzes, travelling and spending time with wife Helen and their three grown up children.
